I love your perspective, as always! This goal of living the Honorable Harvest as a way of life takes work to tend and many reminders to focus our attention. I feel like we, the general we, the humans in our society, get distracted by shiny things and headlines. We don’t look at the complicated, beautiful, ugly story. We need reminders. Thank you!
I really appreciated your post today. It's been so hard to feel hopeful with all that's been happening. Your ability to write with such wisdom in response to the darkness of this moment gives me hope. Nice to see the picture of your smiling family, too.
miss you, Betsy. Let me know if you ever come to Minnesota, because I'd love to see your face in person. Thanks so much for the encouragement, it really helps to know it helps others to write this stuff and not just me. xoxo
Just want to make sure you got my message that I'll be in town next week. One of my sisters has generously offered to loan me her car during my visit. Hope you and I get a chance to meet. I'll message you when I'm available.
Thank you for another lovely post, Tina, and welcome back home. You've reminded me that I need to buy Braiding Sweetgrass--having it from the library wasn't enough! One thing I lost track of--how is your Dad doing?
We have the audio version of the book and the paperback version and I love having both. Her voice is amazing to listen to all the time and then it is really good to go in and have a good look at the words too. so yes, the library version wouldn't be enough for me either!
Dad is doing so well. They had changed his heart medication so he was really struggling with fluid on his heart. Now that that has been taken care of and he is sleeping at night he is thankfully so much more comfortable. He has moved to a new place and still has the great support of hospice and Linda and lots of loving visitors, so he is in a good place for now.
Thank you for your encouragement and the question. xoxo
